Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Carefully separate the cabbage leaves, trimming off the tough stems. Blanch the cabbage leaves in the boiling water for about 2 minutes until they become pliable. Remove the leaves and set them aside to cool.

3. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, cooked rice, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.

4. Take a cabbage leaf and place about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture onto the leaf. Roll it up tightly, tucking in the sides as you go. Repeat with the remaining cabbage leaves and meat mixture.

5. Heat the vegetable oil in a large oven-safe skillet or baking dish over medium heat. Place the cabbage rolls seam side down in the skillet or baking dish.

6. In a separate bowl, mix together the tomato sauce and beef or vegetable broth. Pour the mixture over the cabbage rolls, covering them completely.

7. Cover the skillet or baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the cabbage rolls are cooked through and the flavors are well blended.

8. Remove from the oven and let the cabbage rolls cool slightly before serving. Serve them hot with the tomato sauce from the skillet or baking dish.

Cabbage rolls are often served with a side of mashed potatoes or crusty bread. Enjoy your quick and tasty cabbage rolls with meat!
