Parsley bowl method: fresh for a long time

The  most used method  is certainly that of chefs, which is based on preserving the ingredient for more than a month. First of all, it must be washed and dried well, then finely chopped in a bowl. When it is full, you can pour it into a glass jar with an airtight seal. At this point, you can put it in a  cool, dry place  – not the fridge – for a month. Parsley can also be stored in another way.

In fact, it will be enough to cut the lower part, that of the stems, at a height of approximately 12mm in order to absorb all the necessary water. The parsley leaves  should be dry. At this point the twigs can be placed in a glass bowl filled with 3/4 water. In this case it can be put in the refrigerator: to preserve the parsley, wrap a classic plastic bag around the bowl, securing it with an elastic band. The method is recognized  because it retains moisture in the leaves so as not to dry them out.
