Fudge brownies

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Once melted, add the granulated sugar and stir until well combined.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
5. If desired, fold in the chocolate chips into the batter.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
8. Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
