Peeled Garlic Cloves:

Peeled garlic cloves can be stored in the refrigerator to extend their shelf life. Here are some tips on how to keep peeled garlic cloves fresh in the refrigerator:

1. Store in an Airtight Container

Peeled garlic cloves should be stored in an airtight container to keep moisture out and prevent spoilage. A small glass jar with a lid or a plastic container with a snap-on lid are good options.

2. Add a little olive oil

Adding a small amount of olive oil to the container can help keep the garlic moist and fresh. The oil forms a protective barrier around the garlic, preventing it from drying out and losing flavor.

3. Label and Date the Container

To avoid confusion, label the container with the date the garlic cloves were peeled and stored. This will help you track how long the garlic has been in the refrigerator and when it’s time to use it.

4. Store in the refrigerator

Once the peeled garlic cloves have been placed in an airtight container with olive oil, place them in the refrigerator. The refrigerator temperature should be between 0-4°C. Peeled garlic cloves can last up to two weeks in the refrigerator.

5. Freeze for Long-Term Storage

If you have a large amount of peeled garlic cloves that you can’t use within two weeks, consider freezing them for long-term storage. Spread the peeled garlic cloves on a baking tray and freeze them for a few hours. Once frozen, transfer to an airtight container or freezer bag and store in the freezer for up to six months.
