Instructions:

Take an orange and cut it into slices. In a pan, melt the butter and add the sugar. Add the orange slices and caramelize them for a few minutes. Set aside and let cool.

In a bowl, beat the egg with the sugar until you obtain a frothy mixture. Add the melted butter, orange zest and juice of half an orange. Mix well.

Add the sifted flour and baking powder to the dough. Mix until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.

Pour the mixture into a previously buttered and floured pan.

Arrange the caramelized orange slices on the surface of the dough.

Bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes, or until the cake is golden and cooked.

Once cooked, let the cake cool, then dust with vanilla icing sugar.

Cut the cake into slices and serve it. Enjoy your meal!
