THE ONLY WAY TO PRESERVE DRIED BASIL: IT IS A PRECIOUS RESOURCE IN THE KITCHEN

Be careful to learn to recognize the twigs that can be cut . There is a trick: the branch to be cut will be totally green and will have flowers in the central part which indicate that pollination and flowering have already taken place .

But how is basil dried? You need to get a net, place it over your basil, close the net and hang it on a drying rack – to be placed in a cool place away from sunlight – closing it laterally with clothespins.

Network technique

How do you know that the drying was successful ? Simple: when the basil becomes green and dry. Now all you have to do is place it in a glass jar and seal it with its airtight lid: you will have basil that you can use whenever you want . With this preservation technique it will last for years!
