A tip to get rid of mold and peeling paint on walls: It’s easy, economical and every household can do it

CHOOSE GOOD QUALITY PAINT
Don’t waste time on cheap, poor quality paints. Although you may initially be tempted by the low initial cost, you will likely find that the paint finish is unsatisfactory and could begin to show its age much more quickly than a higher quality alternative.

There are dedicated paints available from many recognized brands that are also resistant to mold and mildew. This type of paint would be a great option as the finish tends to have a slight sheen that allows moisture to drain freely, rather than clinging and penetrating the paint as might happen with flat paint standard.

To achieve the best finish you may need to apply more than one coat. If you do, be sure to allow plenty of time for the paint to dry before applying the new coat. The manufacturer will provide instructions, but always be a little conservative when it comes to your bathroom and allow a little more time than the manufacturer recommends.

Another common reason for peeling paint is not letting the previous coat dry properly before applying the next coat, so when dealing with a room as important as a damp bathroom , take your time and don’t be tempted to rush the work.
