LEMON: WHY IT IS USEFUL TO KEEP IT IN THE OVEN
Despite its sour flavour, this citrus fruit is essential in the kitchen and not only because of its culinary use, but because its juice can be used for household chores without resorting to industrial products.
Mixed with baking soda or coarse salt and mixed in a spray bottle, it can disinfect and descale our sinks as well as release a pleasant odor on our surfaces.
But not everyone knows that lemon is also a great ally to prevent unpleasant friends from visiting us in our home, especially during the summer, when temperatures are high.
In fact, during the summer, we tend to keep doors and windows open and the entry of flies, mosquitoes and other insects is more frequent than in winter and therefore we can have surprises in the house.
Insects do not like the smell and taste of lemon, therefore placing it on the balcony in a container tends to become a repellent for these insects and make the summer more liveable, limiting mosquito bites.
But if in the summer our windows are open and therefore the air circulates more, in the winter we tend to air the rooms only for a few hours and therefore there is a greater possibility of bad air.
