The Only Way To Preserve Dried Basil

Dried basil is also a precious resource , a treasure in the kitchen and beyond, which you should stock up on. If you don’t know about any storage method , don’t worry. We’ll reveal a trick that will allow you to keep it for years!

First of all, it is good to point out that it is what is called a “basil ear” that can be dried . There are two techniques you can use. The first is really simple and consists in obtaining the basil by simply pulling it with the hand method : with thumb and forefinger you gently squeeze the sprig and in a few seconds you will have the leaves in your hands.

All you have to do is put it in a bag and let it dry . The second system instead consists in cutting the ear and “cleaning” it at a later stage, always proceeding with drying.
