Stubborn sink stains, removing them is very easy: just do this

Stubborn stains on the sink, removing them is very difficult, especially if you don’t use the indicated products.

Often the cause of stains on the sink is the water which, being very calcareous, forms a whitish film, which is unpleasant to look at because it gives the sensation of a dirty sink, even though it has been washed and sanitized at least twice in a day.

Once the water is turned on, it accumulates inside the sink, both on the bottom and on the sides. Drops of water that splash on the walls should be dried immediately, often you don’t have time to do so. Even if you dry it immediately, if the water is very calcareous, stubborn stains will still form that cannot be removed with a single pass of a sponge or soap.

Tips for removing stubborn stains from your dark sink

Each sink is separate. By following the following advice, which varies from material to material, from color to colour, even really badly damaged sinks can be recovered. The first tip concerns dark sinks , therefore brown, anthracite, black or blue ones. Pour hot water into the sink, the important thing is that it has reached 70°, so it must not be boiling.

Add two tablespoons of liquid or powder detergent to the hot water and leave to act for at least 4 hours if the sink is very dirty. However, if the sink is slightly stained but clean, just leave the water and detergent on for just a couple of hours and you’re done.

Once the indicated time has passed, empty the sink and scrub using a rough sponge, making only small, delicate rotary movements, being careful not to rub too much so as not to ruin the sink. Rubbing with force and violence can in fact form scratches which are then impossible to remedy.

Finally, rinse with plenty of water and dry. The advice is to fill the sink with hot water and soap in the evening before going to sleep so that the detergent works for one night, without turning on the water. However, the prolonged action must not exceed 16 hours.
